New walkway protects teachers and pupils from the weather
A mono-pitched walkway linking school buildings
A bespoke 2 metre wide glazed mono-pitch walkway from Twinfix, spanning over 45 metres, now joins two of the major buildings of St. Raphael's RC Primary School in Northolt. In addition, a 5.3 metre wide duo-pitched canopy abuts the walkway to create a spacious covered area over an adjacent classroom entrance. Twinfix Multi-Link-Panels, fitted with virtually unbreakable 16mm multiwall polycarbonate, glaze the roofs of both the walkway and the canopy. The panels are fixed on to a maintenance-free aluminium structure, powder coated in white to match the school's colour scheme. Coverall, a Twinfix approved contractor, installed the walkway and canopy.
Headteacher Anne O'Sullivan says, "The staff and children have been dreaming of the day when they could go between our two main buildings without getting wet! We are delighted with it - it is even better than we had anticipated."
