Initial site survey/visit

Just complete the contact details or call us on the number below and one of our surveyors will call you within two working days to arrange a no-obligation visit to your office and/or site to assess and measure up for your canopy or walkway.

Quotation

Within five working days of our visit, (normally sooner) you will receive a quotation.  This quotation will remain firm and open for acceptance for three months for the size and design as quoted.  With the quotation we will send you a representative selection of photographs of similar installations.

Ordering

Once you have placed an order with us, we will discuss and agree payment terms with you.

Detailed site survey

After your order is placed with us we will arrange for a further, more detailed, site survey to be carried out to finalise exact dimensions and to identify all relevant factors that will impact the canopy or walkway, (e.g. drainage).  Should the final size and design be substantially different from that quoted this will be identified at this stage.

Preparation of drawings

After we have completed the site survey we will design your canopy or walkway and then prepare a “general arrangement” drawing showing the final dimensions, relationship to any adjacent buildings, the location of concrete foundation pads, any attachments to existing buildings and the location of rainwater downpipes.

Planning

Should you require planning consent, we can provide you with appropriate plan and elevation drawings and photographs of similar canopies to support your application.  We can also give advice on your “Design & Access Statement”.

Customer Acceptance

On receipt of our drawings, (and, if applicable, planning consent), we ask that you complete our acceptance document that will confirm the details of the canopy, size and design as per the drawings, choice of frame colour, choice of roofing colour, etc.

Manufacture

Once we have received your confirmation (see Customer Acceptance above) we will confirm a manufacturing and installation schedule and will commence manufacture.

Groundworks

A minimum of seven to ten days prior to installation of the canopy, any concrete foundation pads should be prepared.  If this is being undertaken by Twinfix, we will liaise with you regarding appropriate date(s).  Once we have finished the foundation pads, the excavated areas will be made safe for the interim period until we install the canopy.

Installation

Installation will be carried out in a fast, clean operation by our fully trained installation team.  Their first priority on site will be safety, and your co-operation in this respect will be appreciated.  On the satisfactory completion of the installation we will ask you to sign an acceptance certificate and the balance of the agreed price will become due for payment.  Please note that all members of our sales and installation teams, and our site surveyors, hold Basic Disclosure Certificates and we are currently in the process of updating these to Enhanced Disclosure Certificates.
