Video showing the H&SEs recommended drop test, ACR[M]001:2005 carried out on the Twinfix Multi-Link-Panel NF fitted with 6mm solid polycarbonate glazing at 600mm centres. It passed the test with a 'B' classication and can therefore be designated as 'non fragile' (NF) or safe.

This video shows the H&SEs recommended drop test for 'safe' non fragile roofing assemblies carried out on 6.8mm laminated glass fitted into standard glazing bars at 600mm centres. It fails the test, and is therefore designated as 'fragile'. The test, as outlined in ACR[M]001:2005 simulates a person tripping over and falling on a roof.

See the HSE's recommended drop test for assessing 'safe', non-fragile roofing in action. The Twinfix 16mm Multi-Link-Panel NF passes test ACR[M]001:2005 with a 'B' designation.

See the H&SEs recommended drop test for 'safe', non fragile roofing assemblies in action. 16mm multiwall polycarbonate glazing sheet fitted into standard glazing bars at 1000mm centres fails the test. Fitted into the Multi-Link-Panel NF 16mm multiwall passes with a 'B' designation. This demonstrates why 'roofing assemblies' and not individual products have to be tested. It is the patented fixing method in the Multi-Link-Panel NF that holds the multiwall glazing safely in place.

See the HSEs recommended drop test to assess safe, non fragile roofing assemblies in action. 6.4mm laminated glass fitted at 600mm centres fails the test with the drop bag meeting no resistance. The test, ACR[M]001:2005 simulates a person tripping over and falling on a roof.
