VIDEO: H&SE Drop Test, 7.5mm laminated safety glass fitted into Twinfix Multi-Link Panel

Video showing the H&SEs recommended drop test, ACR[M]001:2011 carried out on the Twinfix Multi-Link-Panel NF fitted with 7.5 Laminated glass glazing at 600mm centres. It passed the test with a 'B' classication and can therefore be designated as 'non fragile' (NF) or safe.

This video shows the H&SEs recommended drop test for 'safe' non fragile roofing assemblies carried out on 6.8mm laminated glass fitted into standard glazing bars at 600mm centres. It fails the test, and is therefore designated as 'fragile'. The test, as outlined in ACR[M]001:2011 simulates a person tripping over and falling on a roof.

Fitted into the Multi-Link-Panel NF 16mm multiwall passes with a 'B' designation. This demonstrates why 'roofing assemblies' and not individual products have to be tested. It is the patented fixing method in the Multi-Link-Panel NF that holds the multiwall glazing safely in place.
