UK Glazing Bars used in Swedish Exhibition Centre

Rolled 226/7 glazing bars used to glaze this new building in Sweden

Nearly 800 metres of the Twinfix 226/7 aluminium glazing bars, polyester powder coated in white, were used by P Synnergren Försäljnings AB of V Frölunda to glaze 25mm opal multiwall polycarbonate at the Art and Exhibition Hall in Virserum, Sweden. Both the polycarbonate and the glazing bars were cold curved on site and fixed to the natural wooden frame of the barrel vault using 2,400 32mm stainless steel screws and washers, also supplied by Twinfix. The innovative design of the 60 metre long building has created a light and airy space that is flooded with natural light.

The 60mm wide, two-part 226/7 bar system consists of a base bar and a screw on cap, both fitted with EPDM gaskets. The 226/7 is only one of many bar systems available from Twinfix for installing polycarbonate and has been proven in use for over 20 years.
