Easiglaze Roof Glazing Panels
Twinfix have introduced Easiglaze: a 'push fix' roof glazing panel system that is quickly fitted without the need for any gaskets or sealants. Easiglaze panels can be used to refurbish existing pitched or vertical glazing that has failed, or as primary glazing on a new-build project.
An Easiglaze panel consists of an aluminium frame, available in a variety of powder-coated finishes, that is fitted with 16mm multiwall polycarbonate glazing. The panels are available in a range of glazing tints to allow for a more precise control of light transmission. Multiwall polycarbonate has excellent heat insulation properties with 'U' values of around 2.4W/m²°C for 16mm. A non-transparent aluminium-faced insulation panel can also be used where total shading is required.
Easiglaze panels feature an elegant ultra-low profile, which aids installation of the ridge or wall flashings. There are no screws on show - these are hidden in a fixing channel and they can be installed safely from the side, or from above. The built-in water management system ensures no leakage can occur. Easiglaze panels have a pre-fitted integral underclad, which helps provide a thermal barrier.
These panels can be fitted onto several different types of roof configuration. They are self-supporting up to a span of two metres; they can be fitted where purlins are in place (no more than two metres apart) or they can be installed on top of wooden rafters.
Because the panels are factory assembled, site errors are eliminated. Installation is eased by the way each panel is 'push fixed' into the next panel and fixing time is greatly reduced. This cuts down the amount of time spent on a roof, as recommended by the Health & Safety Executive.
Twinfix provide a wide range of roof glazing panels and glazing bar systems, plus complementary fixing accessories. These are all designed for installing multiwall polycarbonate glazing into pitched roof and vertical glazing applications. Twinfix offer design and development support to Project Co-ordinators, backed up by site inspections and Computer Aided Design. During the installation period, Twinfix is available to assist installers with advice and guidance.
