Door-Guard

When it comes to home security, the glazing in a back door is probably one of the most vulnerable areas.  It is often too easy for intruders to break the glass and gain access.  Fitting a Door-Guard panel helps reduce the risk of unwanted visitors.

Consisting of a pane of clear or obscure polycarbonate and a simple one-part aluminium frame, Door-Guard provides a total barrier against entry.

Glaze-Guard

Glaze-Guard enables the fast and easy installation of impact resistant polycarbonate in vertical applications.  This is because it is a 'dry-glazing' system for fitting polycarbonate, as it uses a gasket to hold the polycarbonate securely in the aluminium frame.  This 'dry-glazing' system is very easy to do, unlike the traditional method of installing polycarbonate glazing, which requires the use, and skill, of gunned silicone.     

Glaze-Guard incorporates features that fulfil the special glazing requirements for installing polycarbonate sheet, including the following:

• An adequate rebate depth to ensure the glazing sheet is retained under load without 'popping out' of the frame.
• Automatic provision of the required thermal expansion allowance to prevent distortion of the polycarbonate sheet.
• Use of materials that are chemically compatible with polycarbonate.

Although aimed primarily at the anti-vandal market, when correctly installed and fitted with the optimum thickness of polycarbonate sheet, Glaze-Guard will also provide an additional barrier against illegal entry.
