Solid Polycarbonate Vertical Glazing
We offer a range of solid polycarbonate glazing products, as well as dry-glazing system for easy window installation.
When installing solid polycarbonate as safety or security vertical glazing you are usually recommended to seal it in place with a bead of silicone. However, unless you are an expert at this task, it can be very difficult to achieve a neat finish. An alternative to this is to fit your polycarbonate safety glazing using one of our gasketed aluminium Glaze-Guard bar systems.
Use of these systems also ensures that the polycarbonate glazing sits within the necessary deep rebate required to hold this relatively flexible material in place.
Where you are installing polycarbonate as a side screen, for example at one end of a canopy to act as weather protection, you may prefer to use one of our structural glazing bar systems.
Components
Glaze-Guard Safety & Security Glazing System
Glaze-Guard is a a simple, two-part, attractive aluminium profile which accept thicknesses of solid polycarbonate glazing up to 8mm. It is quickly assembled, easily fitted and leaves no unsighly or vulnerable fixing visible on the finished installation.
It is available powder coated in white or brown, or it can be coloured to match a particular scheme.
It has a deep rebate to ensure that the polycarbonate sheet is adquately retained under load to accommodate any flexing of the sheet under impact.
This is an ideal product for use as seconday glazing where window security is an issue.

Glaze-Guard 'h' Glazing Profile
The Glaze-Guard 'h' Glazing Profile is designed for quick and easy installation of solid polycarbonate glazing. It consists of an aluminium 'h' section that will accommodate 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm polycarbonate, by the use of different sized gaskets.
