Rafter Gasket Systems

If you want to fix multiwall polycarbonate glazing onto rafters then you need to use one of our rafter gasket glazing systems.  These systems are also suitable for securing glass onto rafter based structures.

Lengths

Our bar systems are supplied pre-packed in 3 metre and 4 metre lengths.  Each pack contains a length of aluminium glazing bar cap with glazing gasket pressed in, the TPR rafter gasket and a push fit end plate.  The P261 and P320 systems can also be supplied in 6 metre lengths as loose items rather than as a pre-pack.

Colour

The P501 system is supplied in white and brown only.

The P261 system is available in mill finish, white and brown.  The mill finish bars can be coloured to any specified RAL colour.

The P320 system is also available in mill finish, white or brown, however the screw cover clip supplied with this system is white or brown only.

500/501 Rafter Gasket System - P501

Designed for installing 10mm twinwall polycarbonate glazing onto 50mm wide rafters.  Supplied pre-packed in 3 metre and 4 metre lengths.  Not suitable for 16mm and thicker multiwall.  The P501 system is suitable for glass units up to 24mm thick.  However, when glazing with glass a mechanically fixed end plate should always be used at the eaves end of each rafter to retain the glass.

226/261 Rafter Gasket System - P261

Designed to install multiwall polycarbonate glazing up to 25mm thickness onto 60mm wide rafters.  Supplied pre-packed in 3 metre and 4 metre lengths.  6 metre lengths can also be supplied as loose items.  The P261 system is also suitable for glass units up to 24mm thick.  However, when glazing with glass a mechanically fixed end plate should always be used at the eaves end of each rafter to retain the glass.

320/261 Rafter Gasket System - P320

Designed to install multiwall polycarbonate glazing up to 25mm thickness onto 60mm wide rafters.  Supplied pre-packed in 3 metre and 4 metre lengths.  6 metre lengths can also be supplied as loose items.  A feature of the P320 system is in the securing of the capping bar to the rafter.  Screws are fixed through a central fixing channel in the cap.  This is then covered and protected by a screw cover clip so no fixings are visible.  The P320 system is also suitable for glass units up to 24mm thick.  However, when glazing with glass a mechanically fixed end plate should always be used at the eaves end of each rafter to retain the glass.

Accessories

To complete your roof, you will need F profile side trims, U profile end closures, eaves filler and screws.  These can all be seen on the Fixing Accessories page on this website.  The Bar Support Systems page shows our aluminium eaves beam and wall plate.
