Twinfix System Used:  Multi-Link-Panels

Twinfix completed the roof refurbishment at Warrington Library in only four days using their Multi-Link-Panel roof glazing system.

Multi-Link-Panels combine a powder coated aluminium frame with multiwall polycarbonate glazing to form a modular 'fix and link' roof glazing system. This patented system is incredibly quick to install and, for this complex project, it actually took ten times longer to remove the ancient Georgian wired glass and glazing bars than it did to install the new roof.

Because of the speed of fitting, installation costs were kept to a minimum, making Multi-Link-Panels a competitive alternative to more traditional glazing systems.

The 'No-Drop' coating on the triplewall polycarbonate glazing allows natural condensation to flow off as a continuous film. This avoids uncontrolled dripping - an important consideration in a library environment.

The film of water transmits more light and allows greater visibility than a layer of droplets, so the library is always bright and dry. These Multi-Link-Panels have traditional 600mm centres to retain the aesthetics of the Victorian building. However, Twinfix make Multi-Link-Panels to individual specifications in a variety of colours and roof glazing tints.
