As a fast moving and growing business we are recruiting an Installation Operative.
Twinfix has over 20 years’ experience of operating in the construction market, offering a wide range of polycarbonate glazed products with a focus on commercial canopies, covered walkways, glazed shelters and rooflights. We operate nationwide and in various sectors, ranging from education through to retail, industrial and rail.
Objectives of position
To provide Twinfix Limited with the expertise needed to deliver site installations in an efficient manner that meet both the companies and customers requirements
Scope of position
To work within an installation team to carry out installations of Twinfix products.
Main duties/Responsibilities/Competencies
- Carry out your installation duties in line with this document
- Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety regulations
- Work with the safety of yourself and others as a priority
- Adhere to Twinfix handbook and policies
- Work to schedules and arrive in a timely manner for varying start times
- Work as part of an team and solve problems independently
- Be willing to work away from home when required
- Carry out Site risk assessments
- Review and work to method Statements
- Take part in and understand toolbox talks and ongoing training
- Complete site completion paperwork
- Be able to communicate in English with Twinfix designers and planners, be able to communicate with construction site managers
- Be competent and work safely with power tools
- Be able to work at height
- Be able to carry heavy sections and cope with the stresses of a physical role
- Be able to read and understand a G.A. drawing
- Be polite and courteous to members of the public who we interact with
- Carry out efficient site installation representing Twinfix in a professional manner
Essential Competencies:
Good numeracy skills
Good verbal and written communication
Valid CSCS card
Driving license
Other Potential Competencies:
PTS (Personal track safety) or Sentinel smartcard with LUCAS
PASMA certification
IPAF
SSSTS certification
