Established in 1990 by Graham Kench, and originally offering a range of high quality glazing bars for installing multiwall polycarbonate, this year Twinfix celebrate their 30th Anniversary – a proud milestone in this family business that is now run by the management team that include Graham’s two daughters, Vicky Evans and Sarah Kench.
Managing Director Vicky Evans commented: “It’s a great achievement to see Twinfix reach its 30th year anniversary. Our company is one that has grown throughout the years from the 3 people it started with to a team of 40 plus. We have evolved over the years and grown with the industry but we are really proud to keep our family ethos and the values Graham instilled on the company at the beginning, of a good quality product, hardworking team and a real passion and care for the product and service we provide are still inherit in the Twinfix model. As we enter into this 30th year the Twinfix team are excited what the future will bring and the new projects and people we will work with.”
Twinfix has evolved over the years and now offers a wide range of products from canopies, walkways and rooflights in additions to its original high quality glazing bars. The Multi-Link-Panel rooflight system has a particularly good fit in railway station and depot refurbishment projects where it’s speed of installation is of great benefit in helping to keep station close down times to a minimum. A key product for the rail industry being our Georgian wired effect polycarbonate that looks the same as Georgian wired glass but with all the strengths and durability benefits of polycarbonate. Classified as Non-Fragile to ACR[M]001:2014 it also gives additional peace of mind for those responsible for large glazed roof areas. In addition, the company design, manufacture and install its own purpose-built aluminium-framed glazed canopies and walkways and this year also sees the launch of a new product the Brise Soleil.
The facility in Warrington, Cheshire is kitted out with a wide range of computerised equipment that enables the company to manufacture its products in a professional and safe way, Health & Safety being a major priority for Twinfix. The colourful structures have proved to be extremely popular within the education arena, as well as in other more commercial areas.
