Supporting Grassroots Football: Twinfix Sponsors Junior Teams

At Twinfix, we take immense pride in being more than just a business; we are a family-driven organisation with deep roots in our community. As a company committed to fostering values of teamwork, integrity, and community spirit, we are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of three grassroots football teams. These teams represent the passion, dedication, and spirit of their young players, many of whom are the sons of our own employees.

The Teams

Twinfix is proud to sponsor the following youth football teams:

  • Godmanchester Town FC U11s
  • Warrington Town FC U12s
  • Hartford FC U11s

Each of these teams now proudly displays the Twinfix logo on their kits, symbolising our support for their development both on and off the pitch.

A Shared Ethos

Grassroots football holds a special place in our hearts. It mirrors many of the values we champion at Twinfix—teamwork, discipline, respect, and responsibility. Football is more than just a game; it’s a platform for young people to grow, learn, and develop life skills that will serve them well in the future. Whether it’s learning the importance of collaboration or building resilience through competition, these lessons align with the values we hold dear.

Supporting Young Talent

Phil Meacham, manager of the Godmanchester Town Junior Football Club, shared his appreciation for the sponsorship:

“We are so grateful to Twinfix for their generous support. It’s companies like Twinfix, who share our values, that make it possible for young players to thrive. These young athletes not only develop their football skills but also learn crucial life lessons about responsibility, respect, and perseverance.”

Carrying on a Legacy

Our sponsorship also pays tribute to our founder, Graham Kench, who was a passionate football enthusiast. Graham believed in the life skills that grassroots football imparts to young players—from teamwork and accountability to the benefits of physical fitness and mindfulness. His legacy continues to inspire us to invest in initiatives that benefit young people and the wider community.

Building Stronger Communities

At Twinfix, we understand the importance of giving back to the communities that support us. By sponsoring these teams, we aim to strengthen our ties with local communities and contribute to the positive development of young people. From Godmanchester to Warrington and beyond, our commitment to making a difference remains unwavering.

Looking Ahead

This sponsorship is just one example of how Twinfix continues to invest in local initiatives. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to sharing more about our work within the community in the coming months.

We wish all three teams the best of luck for the season ahead. Play hard, support each other, and, most importantly, enjoy the beautiful game!

Twinfix Celebrates 35 Years of Innovation and Excellence

Established in 1990 by Graham Kench, with the support of his wife Elaine, to provide high-quality glazing bars for installing multiwall polycarbonate, Twinfix proudly marks its 35th anniversary this year. From humble beginnings as a family business, Twinfix has grown into a trusted leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of canopies, walkways, and roof glazing systems, while upholding its family values and dedication to excellence.

Now under the leadership of Graham’s daughters, Managing Directors Vicky Evans and Sarah Kench, and fellow Directors Paul Greenfield and Daniel Smith, Twinfix continues to thrive. Vicky Evans shared her thoughts on this landmark anniversary:

“Reaching our 35th anniversary is a tremendous milestone for Twinfix. What started as a small team of three has grown into a company of over 40 dedicated professionals. Throughout the years, we’ve embraced innovation and adapted to industry changes. However, we’ve remained true to the values my father instilled from the beginning: delivering high-quality products, fostering a hardworking team, and maintaining a genuine passion for what we do. As we celebrate this achievement, we’re excited about the future and look forward to new opportunities, projects, and partnerships.”

Over the years, Twinfix has expanded its product portfolio to meet the needs of various industries, including education, retail, and rail. The company’s flagship product, the Multi-Link-Panel Non-Fragile roofing system, is a versatile solution for canopy and station refurbishments, offering rapid installation, exceptional durability, and aesthetic appeal. Another key innovation is the Georgian wired effect polycarbonate, which replicates the aesthetic of Georgian wired glass while providing the strength and durability of polycarbonate. This product has been classified as Non-Fragile to ACR[M]001:2019, ensuring added safety and peace of mind for large glazed roof areas.

Last year, Twinfix launched the Solar-Link-Panel, an innovative product that combines energy efficiency with high-quality design. The Solar-Link-Panel allows clients to integrate solar energy generation seamlessly into their structures, reflecting Twinfix’s commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking solutions. This new addition has already proven popular in both the education and commercial sectors, offering clients an eco-friendly option for their canopy and rooflight systems.

In addition to its roofing solutions, Twinfix designs, manufactures, and installs bespoke aluminium-framed canopies and walkways, which have become a popular choice for schools and commercial spaces. These colourful and functional structures enhance outdoor environments, providing shelter and versatility. Recent years have also seen the launch of innovative products such as the Alu-Link-Panel® and the Brise Soleil system, reflecting the company’s focus on sustainability, safety, and cutting-edge design.

As part of its anniversary celebrations, Twinfix is also recognising the dedication and long service of its employees. Director Paul Greenfield celebrated an impressive 25 years with the company in December, while Luke Worral, a valued member of the design team, retired at the close of last year after 30 years of distinguished service. The long tenure of our team members is a testament to the positive, supportive working environment at Twinfix. Their contributions have played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s success and upholding its reputation for quality and innovation.

Operating from its state-of-the-art facility in Warrington, Twinfix prioritises health and safety while maintaining a focus on sustainability. The company’s solutions continue to make a positive impact across sectors, from enhancing railway infrastructure to transforming school playgrounds and commercial spaces.

As Twinfix celebrates 35 years of excellence, the team remains committed to delivering innovative solutions, building strong relationships with clients, and upholding the values that have driven its success. Here’s to the next chapter of growth and achievement for Twinfix!
