Pedestrian Walkways

Twinfix pedestrian walkways provide safe, weather-protected routes that connect people and places. Whether linking buildings, guiding passengers through transport hubs, or creating sheltered access for staff and visitors, our walkways are designed to combine safety, durability and visual appeal. Each system is manufactured to meet the demands of modern environments, helping organisations manage movement effectively while offering long-term value.

Design and Materials

Every pedestrian walkway is constructed from lightweight, rust-free aluminium. This sustainable material is chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance and minimal maintenance requirements, ensuring structures continue to perform and look their best for decades. Aluminium frames can be powder-coated to any standard RAL colour, allowing the installation to integrate seamlessly with existing architecture or stand out as a distinctive feature.

Walkways can be designed as straight routes, multi-directional networks or bespoke layouts to suit the flow of people across a site. Structural components are UKCA marked in compliance with BS EN 1090-1, providing assurance of safety and quality in line with industry standards.

Glazing Options

Pedestrian walkways are typically glazed using our Multi-Link-Panel system, incorporating solid or multiwall polycarbonate for strength and light transmission. This factory-assembled system has been tested to ACR[M]001:2019 and achieved non-fragile classification, ensuring safe performance in overhead applications.

Alternative glazing options include Georgian wired polycarbonate, which is ideal for heritage-sensitive environments, or glass where a traditional specification is required. We also offer the Alu-Link-Panel, a solid aluminium roofing system. Additional features such as glazed side panels, roller shutters and mesh screens can be incorporated to provide enhanced weather protection, access control or security.
