Twinfix covered walkways provide safe, durable and attractive connections between buildings, entrances and external spaces. Manufactured from robust aluminium frames and glazed with our innovative panel systems, they offer long-lasting protection from the elements and create more usable outdoor environments. With options to suit schools, healthcare settings, commercial developments, transport hubs and MOD facilities, Twinfix walkways are tailored to deliver performance, safety and visual appeal in equal measure.
Our walkway structures are constructed from lightweight, rust-free aluminium, a material chosen for its strength, durability and sustainability. Aluminium is inherently low-maintenance, resistant to corrosion and infinitely recyclable, making it an ideal choice for permanent structures that must perform for decades.
Walkways can be specified in a wide range of styles — from simple lean-to designs to complex, multi-directional routes. Frames can be powder-coated in any standard RAL colour, allowing the installation to blend seamlessly with surrounding architecture or act as a bold design feature.
Covered walkways are typically glazed using our Multi-Link-Panel system, incorporating solid or multiwall polycarbonate. This unique, factory-assembled system is quick to install and has been tested in assemblies to ACR[M]001:2019, achieving non-fragile status for enhanced safety. Panels can also be supplied with Georgian wired polycarbonate for heritage-sensitive sites, or glass where specified.
Our walkways can also be designed with an Alu-Link-Panel roof, a solid aluminium system that provides a fully opaque, robust finish for settings where shade, privacy or additional security are priorities.
Side panels, doors or mesh screens can be added to provide further shelter and control, ensuring each walkway is adapted to its specific environment.
All Twinfix walkway structures are UKCA marked in line with BS EN 1090-1, providing assurance of structural integrity and compliance with industry standards. Our Multi-Link-Panel NF glazing options have passed the ACR[M]001:2019 test, offering proven non-fragile performance that supports safe maintenance and long-term use.
