At Twinfix, we design, manufacture and install durable, high-quality bus shelters that provide reliable weather protection for passengers while enhancing the appearance and functionality of transport infrastructure. With over 35 years of experience in the canopy and shelter sector, we work with transport authorities, contractors and facility managers to deliver tailored solutions that combine safety, performance and aesthetics.
A well-designed bus shelter does more than keep passengers dry. It improves comfort, safety and accessibility, encouraging greater use of public transport and supporting local sustainability goals. By protecting people from rain, snow, wind and UV exposure, our shelters create a more positive waiting environment, helping to make public transport a practical, year-round option.
Twinfix bus shelters are fabricated from aluminium, a lightweight but exceptionally strong material that is naturally resistant to corrosion. Powder-coated in a wide choice of RAL colours, the structure can be tailored to complement surrounding buildings, branding or wider transport infrastructure. For projects that require additional strength or wider spans, steel-framed options are also available.
Roofing and glazing options include clear, opal or bronze polycarbonate, allowing projects to balance natural light with shading requirements. For heritage-sensitive sites, Georgian wired polycarbonate can be specified, replicating the traditional appearance of wired glass while delivering the superior strength and safety of modern materials.

Colours & Coatings
Clear polycarbonate provides maximum natural light, creating bright and open canopy spaces.
Opal polycarbonate diffuses natural light, reducing glare while maintaining a bright and comfortable covered space.
Obscure polycarbonate provides diffused light while maintaining privacy, making it ideal for areas where discretion is required.
Twinfix structures are finished with high-quality polyester powder coating, available in the full RAL range to complement any architectural scheme.
Timber-effect finishes provide the appearance of natural wood while retaining the durability and low maintenance of aluminium.
Safety is a critical factor in all transport infrastructure, and our shelters are designed with this in mind. Many incorporate the Multi-Link-Panel Non-Fragile roofing system, tested to ACR[M]001:2019 to meet HSE non-fragility requirements. Structural components are UKCA-marked, giving clients confidence that their shelter complies with current standards for strength and performance.
Every bus shelter we deliver is bespoke, designed to suit its location, passenger demand and operational requirements. From compact shelters for rural stops to larger installations at busy interchanges, we tailor the design to ensure usability, durability and ease of maintenance. Optional extras such as lighting, signage support and branding integration can be incorporated to improve visibility, wayfinding and passenger information.
