For projects requiring a warmer, more natural aesthetic, we also offer timber-effect powder coating, delivering the appearance of wood with the strength and durability of aluminium — ideal for blending with existing school buildings or heritage sites.
Our canopies typically feature polycarbonate roof glazing, which offers excellent light transmission and UV protection while being significantly lighter and more impact resistant than glass. Polycarbonate is a safe and durable option for educational environments where non-fragility and long-term performance are essential.
Twinfix’s Multi-Link-Panel Non-Fragile (NF) system is widely used across schools and academies, providing a modular, factory-assembled glazing solution that meets the requirements of ACR[M]001:2019 for non-fragile roofing. This system delivers peace of mind for headteachers, estates teams, and local authorities seeking safety-assured installations.
For areas where a solid roof is preferred, we also offer our Alu-Link-Panel system — a robust aluminium roof panel solution providing a fully opaque, weather-tight finish. This option is ideal for covered outdoor dining areas, walkways, or recreational spaces where shade and full rain protection are priorities.
Our canopies are designed to meet the highest safety standards and include features that further enhance pupil protection. Post protectors can be fitted to vertical supports to reduce the risk of accidental injury in play areas.
Integrated guttering and downpipes manage rainwater effectively, reducing surface water around entrances and walkways while maintaining a neat, professional appearance. Anti-climb guttering is fitted as standard, providing additional safety and security by helping to prevent unauthorised access to roof areas — an important consideration for environments such as secondary schools and academies.
