Modular Rooflights

Twinfix modular rooflight systems, including our innovative Multi-Link-Panel Non-Fragile (NF) system, provide an elegant, high-performance solution for introducing natural daylight into buildings while maintaining safety, thermal efficiency, and architectural appeal. Designed and manufactured in the UK, our modular rooflights combine precision-engineered aluminium framing with advanced polycarbonate glazing to create bright and inviting environments across the education, healthcare, commercial, and transport sectors.

The Multi-Link-Panel NF System

At the heart of our modular rooflight offering is the Twinfix Multi-Link-Panel NF system. This tried-and-tested, factory-assembled glazing unit is designed for rapid installation, exceptional durability, and long-term performance. Each panel comprises aluminium framing and polycarbonate glazing, pre-assembled under controlled factory conditions to ensure consistent quality and precision.

The system delivers a non-fragile roofing solution, tested in accordance with ACR[M]001:2019, providing reassurance for specifiers, contractors, and end users alike. Lightweight yet robust, it can be configured to suit a wide range of applications, from individual rooflights and atria to large continuous roof glazing runs.

Natural Light and Energy Efficiency

The Multi-Link-Panel NF system is designed to maximise natural light while providing excellent weather resistance and thermal performance. Polycarbonate glazing offers outstanding light transmission and UV protection, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and supporting sustainable building design.

A variety of glazing options are available, including multiwall, solid, and Georgian wired glass effect finishes, allowing the system to be tailored to suit both contemporary and heritage environments.

For projects requiring improved insulation and superior energy performance, choose our Multi-Link Thermal option – designed to deliver enhanced thermal efficiency with an excellent U-value, ideal for temperature-controlled or occupied spaces.

Heritage and Conservation Applications

For heritage and conservation projects, our Georgian wired glass effect polycarbonate provides the perfect balance of tradition and innovation. It replicates the distinctive appearance of wired glass, ideal for heritage railway stations, listed buildings, and restoration works, while offering the impact resistance, light weight, and non-fragile performance of modern polycarbonate glazing.

This combination allows designers to achieve an authentic aesthetic that aligns with conservation requirements without compromising on safety, longevity, or ease of maintenance.

Seamless Integration and Design Flexibility

Twinfix modular rooflights can be incorporated into a variety of roof forms, including flat, pitched, or curved. The Multi-Link-Panel NF system can also integrate seamlessly with other Twinfix aluminium canopy and glazing products, providing architectural continuity across entire sites.

Each installation is bespoke-designed by our in-house technical team to meet specific loadings, spans, and regulatory requirements. The modular design enables quick and safe installation, making it particularly suitable for time-sensitive programmes such as school refurbishments and transport facility upgrades.

Sustainable and Built to Last

Both aluminium and polycarbonate are fully recyclable, and the lightweight design of the Multi-Link-Panel NF system contributes to reduced transport emissions and easier handling on site. The materials are UV-protected, low maintenance, and corrosion-resistant, ensuring an extended service life and excellent whole-life value.
