With two opposing roof slopes and a central ridge line, a duo-pitch canopy sheds rainwater efficiently into integrated guttering and downpipes on both sides. This balanced form is particularly suited to spanning wider areas, creating generous covered zones that still feel bright and open.
Our duo-pitch canopies can be designed as freestanding structures, positioned between buildings, or aligned with existing rooflines to complement traditional and modern architecture alike. Twinfix duo-pitch canopies are constructed using precision-engineered aluminium framing. Lightweight yet exceptionally strong, aluminium delivers long-term resistance to corrosion with minimal ongoing maintenance. All frameworks are powder coated in-house and can be supplied in any RAL colour, enabling close coordination with school colours, corporate branding, or surrounding materials.
Roof glazing options include solid or multiwall polycarbonate for high levels of light transmission, UV protection, and excellent impact resistance. Polycarbonate’s light weight and inherent safety characteristics make it an ideal choice for use in education, healthcare, and transport environments. Where a solid roof is preferred, our Alu-Link-Panel system provides a durable, fully opaque solution that offers complete shade and all-weather protection.
Twinfix duo-pitch canopies offer complete design flexibility, with a wide choice of polycarbonate options to suit every environment. From soft opal tints that diffuse light to crystal‑clear glazing and even solid, glass‑like finishes, customers can tailor the look and performance of their canopy with ease. Our aluminium frames are available in a full range of long‑lasting powder‑coated colours, ensuring a vibrant, durable finish that enhances any setting. For projects seeking a natural aesthetic without the maintenance of real timber, we also offer specialist timber‑effect powder coating that delivers the warmth and appearance of wood with the strength of aluminium.
Safety is integral to every Twinfix installation. Our Multi-Link-Panel Non-Fragile (NF) system is tested to ACR[M]001:2019 for non-fragility, supporting safe access for maintenance activities above the canopy. Anti-climb guttering can be incorporated to discourage unauthorised access, a key consideration for schools, public buildings, and high-footfall environments.
Aluminium and polycarbonate are fully recyclable, contributing to sustainable construction practices and supporting circular economy principles.
